The greek word for truth is aletheia. The definition is the “unconcealed/unhidden existence under any circumstance.” In other words: truth is a matter of REALITY.
An example is that sex-trafficking of young or adolescent girls is a worldwide modern-day slavery. Matter of fact, Sacramento is one of the biggest city or hub in which these girls are traded and abused EVERYDAY. Nationwide the count is now over 300,000 for sure.
This may be truth that I could effortlessly acknowledge or intellectually receive. However it is not my reality. This is something that I do not WITNESS or LIVE in. And because this is not my reality, I frankly do not care enough to even think or put any weight of attention on it.

Oh yes it could press on my guilt or have me want to donate money time to time. However it is something out of my life and above my imagination for me to be concerned with it in my heart, mind, and strength.

Jesus said that He is the Truth the Way and the Life. Now this is crazy for religious people, unbelievers, for the whole world to hear. That a God who was reincarnated into a man would say something as authoritative and bluntly as this.
He is saying that He is the reality, He is the motivation of our every action, and He is the means of breathing for us to get up in the morning everyday (not just talking eternally).

Jesus also said whoever Believes in Him, he will not perish but have eternal life from that oh so famous football verse… The greek word for believe is pistueo, which means to “have confident in and to be convinced that it is TRUTH.” But what I like the most about this word is that another definition of it means “to trust to where a man is impelled.”To be impelled is to be convicted and to have an URGE TO DO SOMETHING. There’s a DRIVE or FORCE to do something with the truth that you just received.

This does not need be religious by the way. For example, the time you realized that you’ve been cheated on is the truth and the reality. From there you are impelled to do something. Whether it is to simply argue, beat up, break up, revenge, stay silent, keep together, whatever. Your reality and truth is something that CANNOT be ignored because your HEART and MIND is latched onto it. THERE IS ALWAYS an impelling action that follows.

If Jesus is my Truth, my Way, and my Life. He is someone that I cannot evade or just say He doesn’t affect/effect me in any way. Just like I can’t say that I could ignore the Sun and live without the reality of it even though I don’t really know much about it.

The problem isn’t that we’re too sinful to be godly. The problem is Jesus is not our reality. And there are distractions and lies that disallow us to actually believe in the aletheia of Jesus Christ. Jesus isn’t begging for you to pity-believe and make-believe that He is there with you. He wants you to step out of the already-make-believe world you’re in. The make-believe world of education, finance, social spheres, jobs, relationships. There’s so much more to our lives than these.

If Jesus isn’t your reality, alls you have to do is ask and He will open the door for you to come into it.

how you know Jesus Christ is seriously thru a certain perspective.
how you get saved is by this certain perspective.
not necessarily the perspective of Him first but the perspective of your own sin.
you understand the weight of sin, you understand the weight of Him.
this is revival.

this year is a year of renewal and change.
that is all.

Good thing i’m getting guy advice from this one.

repentance is not just confessing your sin or believing that you’ve done wrong.

repentance is giving up (meaning you don’t try to control and manage your sins).

when you repent you’re letting go of your offenses to Christ and allowing Him to take over your mind and who you are, not simply what you do.

yes forgiveness has a lot to do with repentance on Christ’s part but on our part we are desperately clinging onto Him and expressing that only He could control and manage us with our sins=offenses.

only Christ can rid of offenses made unto the Father and only Christ can baptize us with the Holy Spirit enabling us to transform who we are and ultimately what we do.

so if you’re struggling today, if you’re hopeless today—Turn to Jesus and don’t ask for forgiveness…ask Him to take over and give your sins and burdens to Him.
This is when you feel forgiven and you feel the grace and the perpetual mercy of the Lord. And it is then when you become alive aka renewed, revived, and not zombied FOR GOOD.

It’s always been an attitude issue.

believe it or not i don’t win a lot of things. gasp!
i mean i could win ball games and competitions and stuff but not all the time. and i especially don’t win things like sweepstakes, raffles, bingo, and or whatever that requires a choosing.

however things have shifted in my life! I WON A $100 GIFT CARD IN A RAFFLE!
and i’m NOT going to share the mula! MUAHAHA… jp. i will…. but with whom?

anyway
i was really feelin good because i won that $100. like right when i heard my real legal engrish name i said YES! and screamed! and jumped and took a picture right away! like it was surreal for me too tho. ( did i jump, scream, and take a picture when i knew i was saved? @.@ did i even announce it like i announced that i won money? @.@) i was just so happy knowing that i won knowing that i got it and knowing that i was “chosen.” and the interesting part of it was that people were cheering for me too. it was just funny and interesting altogether for me.
i mean i don’t even remember having this type of feeling when i used to win sports games with my teammates. i guess it’s cuz we thought we were the situation and we deserved to win through our pride.

this raffling experience was way different. there was no pride, there was no competition, it was just simply wanting to be chosen and especially winning the prize.

i love how everything always goes back to Christ and to the Heavenly Father. it’s not that i choose to but God always reminds me of Him and His ways. How he doesn’t play “raffle” with us. He freely gave His gift, His grace, His Son to everyone. To those yearning to be chosen and yearning for the prize of knowing Jesus Christ the Creator and to spend eternal life with Him, we don’t have to wait to be chosen!
WE DON’T HAVE TO WAIT! one of the things i kept asking was “when is the raffle going to begin?!” and again this is unusual for me as i don’t care about these things usually. HAHA but i guess there was an innate reason to care that day!

God doesn’t show favoritism and He surely desires everyone to be saved! (1 Tim 2:3-4)
I don’t care if you’re arminian or calvinist. God desires what He desires.
He doesn’t pleasure Himself in the death of the wicked! (Ezekiel 18:23) but in the repentance of those.

yes i won a raffle but that raffle was won so that i may share in the riches with others. $100 doesn’t split that many times but it’s the concept of sharing in the blessings that God has given us that counts. and this makes me all the more thankful and humble for God as He has given us THE BEST GIFT AND PRIZE ever: Christ. not even eternal life. It’s Himself, His Son and His Spirit. He gave Himself to us. We don’t have to wait, we don’t have to worry, we don’t have to be anxious. As long as we believe and take on the righteousness of Christ we will understand the thrill and pleasure of having Christ.
this too i must share with others the gospel, the good news that, everyone too may also be chosen by Christ.

and let’s just put it this way… God invented money. I don’t worship money because I’d rather worship the One who disperses it naw mayn?! lol. it’s all about God IT’S ALL ABOUT CHRIST! not money! i could burn it, erase it (and yes i can i was in banking, you just minus some zeroes in someone’s account and what happens?!)!!!
